FAUDA

Fauda quiere decir “caos” en hebreo y en árabe. Es el nombre de una magnífica serie de Netflix. La mejor manera de pasar este maldito encierro provocado por Covid-19, alias “el Mataviejos”, es contemplar una serie de televisión. Lo he hecho en esta interminable cuarentena.
Me gustó mucho. Sabía, de antemano, el trasfondo de los episodios. Ciertos jóvenes judíos, vinculados a una Unidad Encubierta de Élite de las Fuerzas de Defensa Israelí, se enfrentaban en Cisjordania a unos jóvenes palestinos incardinados en Hamás, en Al Fatah, y hasta alguno de ellos le juraba lealtad a ISIS mediante el consabido vídeo.
La unidad existe y es la “Sayeret 217 Duvdevan (cereza en hebreo)”, y está facultada para cometer asesinatos selectivos y otros actos deleznables encaminados a impedir los atentados terroristas y los crímenes de los enemigos de Israel y del pueblo judío.
Era –al menos yo lo creía—la versión del Medio Oriente de los vaqueros contra los indios, del bien contra el mal, de los “buenos” contra los “malos”. Los vaqueros, claro, eran los judíos. Los palestinos, por supuesto, eran los indios. Pero no había nada de eso. No existían los estereotipos.
Todos eran capaces de destrozar al adversario. De interrogarlo con saña. De torturarlo golpe a golpe, hasta matarlo. Los judíos y los palestinos eran seres humanos movidos por el patriotismo, la aventura, el deseo de venganza, el amor, la soledad, la lujuria, el engaño, y el despecho. También, y en una enorme proporción, los movilizaban las ansias de gloria.
Los separaban la cuestión religiosa. Los palestinos se tomaban muy en serio a Alá. Le rezaban y le ofrecían el sacrificio de sus vidas. Las mujeres, entre ellos, tenían una función auxiliar y les debían a sus maridos un respeto imponente. Los judíos, en cambio, apenas mencionaban a Yahvé. Se acercaban a sus actos por un camino secular. Las mujeres desempeñaban los mismos roles de los hombres. Podían ser infieles en la cama sin dejar de ser leales.
¿Es una serie realista? Sí, aunque sólo en cierta forma. Hay que prescindir de la incredulidad, como suele hacerse en el teatro, y suponer que el mismo equipo humano de guerra secreta puede operar constantemente sin ser detectado en un pequeño territorio como Ramallah, que es una especie de ciudad del tamaño de un sello de correos.
Pero ese escollo se salva sin dificultades. Realmente, los hechos ocurrieron más o menos así, aunque en diferente secuencia. El actor principal y coguionista de la serie, Lior Raz, que hace el papel de Doron Kabilio, perteneció a una unidad especial israelí que perseguía a los terroristas y realizaba acciones encubiertas en Cisjordania. La materia prima de los guiones es su propia experiencia.
Su novia de entonces, una chiquilla de 19 años llamada Iris Azulai, fue asesinada a puñaladas por un palestino al que arrestaron. Años más tarde lo canjearon por el soldado Gilad Shalit, secuestrado por Hamás, dentro de aquella asombrosa operación en que los israelíes cambiaron más de mil prisioneros, muchos de ellos terroristas, por la libertad de uno de los suyos.
El otro coguionista, Avi Issacharoff es el periodista de Haaretz, y reportero de televisión galardonado con varios premios, un verdadero experto en el conflicto palestino-israelí. Aunque Issacharoff asume el punto de vista israelí, trata de ser objetivo y respetuoso con los palestinos.
Eso no es posible. El punto de vista es esencial y los palestinos casi nunca quedan satisfechos. Para ellos, la venganza es una emoción legítima. Lo que explica que Shirin al-Abed, espléndidamente representada por la actriz franco-árabe Laëticia Eido, una palestina viuda, enamorada de Doron Kabilio, aunque casada por terror con su primo Walid Abed, el jefe local de Hamás, es una traidora sin paliativos. Es un mundillo en blanco y negro, absolutamente irreconciliable con sus adversarios.
Eso es conveniente que se sepa. No hay forma humana que árabes e israelíes lleguen a acuerdos razonables. Mientras los palestinos sueñen con echar a los judíos al mar, eso no es posible.

Comienza a ser preocupante la situación de los EEUU.
Desocupación, saqueos y protestas por todos lados, recesión, grieta política y la lista sigue.
El único muro de contención del avance Chino y aliados tambalea. Preocupante.
¿Imaginan este escenario en años de apogeo del bando enemigo, del bando comunista?
Pues lo que surge de esa hipotética situación hoy puede dejar de ser hipotética y transformarse en real.
La Guerra Fría nunca fué capitalismo vs comunismo como todos creíamos, siempre fue Desarrollo vs Subdesarrollo, Democracia vs Dictadura.
Los hechos actuales lo confirman: los enemigos de los países democráticos de esta “Nueva Guerra Fría” son los mismos enemigos de la “Vieja Guerra Fría” comunismo vs capitalismo.
Y el único país que aún conserva los fundamentos que pueden competir con una ventaja inalcanzable para los enemigos de la Democracia y el progreso humano es EEUU (sus aliados en medio de una intrusion estatal que si bien trae bienestar social, también provoca un intrincadisimo sistema de reglamentaciones y disposiciones que perjudican estructurar una defensa acorde al escenario que se viene)
Fundamentos que vimos recientemente en su máxima expresión con el desarrollo de un viaje espacial por iniciativa privada.
Capitalismo, capital social (único garante real de la seguridad jurídica), Democracia y libertad económica son los únicos baluartes que pueden defendernos del ataque del subdesarrollo, de las dictaduras.
Y si el líder tambalea…..

El caos de Mineapolis hubiera ocurrido igual sin el corona y nada ha tenido que ver. El moviniento ¨Blacks lives matter¨ (salvo cuando el que mata al negro es otro negro, que es lo más frecuente) es muy anterior a esto. Ya han ocurrido situaciones similares antes. Y estoy empezando a pensar que la crisis económica motivada por el corona, aunque no es fácil de solucionar, desde luego, aquí lo va a ser menos que en otros países.
Tampoco estoy tan seguro de que esto vaya a beneficiar a China. Probablemente ésa era la intención, pero hay razones para esperar que el tiro les salga por la culata.
Esta locura ha sido universal. Hay locura aquí, pero puede que menor que en otros países porque el nivel de locura varía de un Estado a otro y muchos de ellos ya están menos locos. Veo a España completa, por ejemplo, en la demencia total.
Me preocuparía si ganara Biden, pero aún falta para Noviembre y confío en que esa catástrofe no se produzca. Si gana Trump la recuperación puede ser rápida.

Todavía creo que la crisis económica será superada con relativa facilidad y más aún en EEUU y que probablemente el más afectado termine siendo China (y aliados).
Sin embargo, cuando ud hace referencia a la situación de España, simplemente pone el ejemplo más extremo de lo que hago referencia en mi comentario respecto de las dificultades que tienen todos los países de Europa para reaccionar ante un riesgo geopolítico dada la maraña de intromisiones gubernamentales que dificultan seriamente instrumentar de manera ágil respuestas a los riesgos que vienen de Oriente.
Es decir, probablemente Occidente cuenta como único baluarte para enfrentar los riesgos de este enfrentamiento aparentemente hasta ahora reducido al ámbito económico, a EEUU.
Recientemente comencé a leer un libro de Niall Ferguson que avala la idea que esta “Nueva Guerra Fría” es la misma de siempre.
Es decir, ya son muchos los intelectuales, historiadores y políticos que son conscientes de ésta realidad y ante el escenario actual en los EEUU, alertar parece buena idea.
Estoy más al tanto de lo que ocurre en España porque viví 12 años allá. Varios amigos míos viven en Madrid y una cuñada mía con su familia en Murcia.

Ésta es una contradicción que los EEUU debe ser capaz de solucionar si no quieren caer en las trampas de lo “políticamente correcto”.
Contradicciones como esta y de mucho peores consecuencias los latinoamericanos tenemos sobradas experiencias y créame que llevan al abismo.
Es la misma contradicción de los partidos políticos defendiendo la políticamente correcta defensa de los pobres indefensos ante el sistema económico imperante cuyas soluciones propuestas por estos adalides de la justicia social generan más y más pobreza en nombre de los pobres ¿Se entiende?
Estos adalides en Argentina llevaron de 2.000 villas miserias en Argentina a 4.000 en apenas 25 años.
Si no se superan estas contradicciones como la del claro ejemplo de cuando un negro mata a cien negros no hay protestas pero si un blanco mata a uno se incendia el país deben ser superadas y con la agilidad y la diligencia que las circunstancias obligan.
¿Y si gana Biden?
Probablemente estas contradicciones se multipliquen…
